Who for? On TR and Vanilla Progression

  • Tamriel Rebuilt () content is balanced around entry-to-mid level characters so it is best enjoyed through new characters/playthroughs.

    • This can make Vanilla Vvardenfell feel redundant and/or non-integrated from a progression and difficulty perspective, especially for longer running builds (50 hours+). This Modlist aims to alleviate that by making Vanilla Vvardenfell feel connected but with higher level challenges, albeit in a lore-friendly manner.

    • The other way around (Play through Vanilla/MQ ⇒ move to TR Mainland) will often ruin balance, making TR content too easy and not as enjoyable as it should be, in all its hobo-phase splendour.

  • Moreso, Vvardenfell (og Morrowind island map) is supposed to be in a limited quarantine due to the Blight. We have Cults, Dreamers and beasts poping around. This suits a quasi-apocalyptic scenario for the island; as Vvardenfell also has some of the oldest and strangest dungeons, and a good share of "high-risk" oddballs, bandits and adventurers roaming (or still living on) the island.

  • Characters should be able to explore Vanilla content freely, switching at ease between Mainland and the island. Through this modlist:

    • TR Content is early-to-mid level, self-reliant. For characters who want to do both TR and Vvardenfell (vanilla), with this modlist the Vvardenfell Faction quests (integrated with Mainland via TR_Factions) are easy enough up until later / boss - level characters (thanks to mods such as MQ rebalance or MDM), then become hard (high level).

    • Main Quest and Expansions will represent mid-to-late game content, as expected by someone who wants to kill a god . This allows for returning players to re-experience Vvardenfell if they choose, as a mid-to-late level area.
